Next Malawi Trip - June 2017

I will be visiting Malawi again from 14 June to 7 July 2017. High on my list is the purchase and distribution of solar lamps to needy secondary school students. The school building projects have been so successful that I'm now anxious to put further building projects in place too.

I want to review the operation of the primary school incentive scheme and the Back to School programme. And I want to put a bursary scheme in place for secondary schoolchildren's fees going forward.

Then there is the school building programme. Rooms for girls, extra classrooms, toilets, and furniture are high on the list of things I want to look at. And I want to buy fabrics and items from the Afrogarden ladies "kosoka" (textiles) and "kuluka" (knitting) groups, as well as pictures and basket-ware for sale at our August fundraising event (see Fundraising and Events).  It will be a busy trip!
